REPORT

MOLANDS    Fished quite hard through the week with carp making up the better catches but at the weekend there were signs of an improvement with more F1’s being  caught as well.  Straight lead with 8mm pellet or pellet waggler has been the best tactics for carp.  The F1’s have been coming to the pellet or caster fished on the pole at 5 or 13 metres.  Best pegs 8 – 15, 19, 27 – 33, 41 – 47 and 52 – 54.

GEARYS   A little patchy but some good nets of carp have been caught including fish to over 18lb.  Bomb and pellet/boilies or pellet feeder has been the best tactic through the day but in the evening, corn or worm fished down the edges has been catching plenty.  Lots of decent skimmers with fish to 4lb are being caught on pole and pellet or maggot.  Best pegs are 9 – 13, 16, 18 – 21, 23, 27 and 31 – 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   The most consistent pool on the fishery at the moment with big F1’s, crucians, skimmers and carp showing on all areas of the pool.  Up in the water tactics such as candle, pellet waggler or pole and pellet/caster fished shallow have been working well.  Paste down the margin is also catching plenty of fish.

GRATUITIES   Floating bread and dog biscuit are accounting for the better fish with carp to 15lb falling to these tactics.  Pellet waggler/corn or a waggler to the island has also been catching.  Good nets of crucians are coming to pole fished caster or expander pellet.

ANNIVERSARIES   Good nets of F1’s are coming to pole and pellet fishing 4mm and fishing a banded hard pellet on the hook.  Some good sized tench and bream also being caught with corn the best bet for them.  The top end, on pegs 1 – 6 and 21 – 23 have been the best areas but decent catches have been coming from all over the pool.

WILLOW   Lots of carp and F1’s showing fishing across to the island with waggler and corn or pellet or a small method/pellet feeder with meat or pellet on the hook.  Pole and pellet shallow is also working well.
