Essex match angler Ross Harrold has set a new venue record at prolific Monk Lakes in Kent with a massive 475lb haul.
The Marden water has seen plenty of 200lb plus bags and even some 300lb+ weights this year, but Ross obliterated all of them in the six-hour event, ending up with ten keepnets in front of him.
The Ockendon Bait and tackle backed angler fished the long pole from peg 113, dobbing pellet and meat for carp well into double figures from the first put-in. It was enough to easily win the event, Tom Need finishing second with just short of 240lb.
