A special celebrity Fly Fishing Day, in aid of a children’s charity, will be taking place at Lakedown Trout Fishery, Wealden Valley, East Sussex – owned by pop legend Roger Daltrey of The Who – on Friday 25th May, 2012.
The charity day, in aid of The Children’s Trust, will commence at 7.30 am with breakfast and then start at 8.30 am when fly fishing enthusiasts will take part in tag-team events. Celebrities from the world of theatre and sport, together with experienced and novice fly-fishers will team up in pairs for an enjoyable day of fishing in the beautiful location of Lakedown Trout Fishery. The 26-acre site provides four spring-fed lakes, where teams will fish and compete to win prizes for the heaviest catch of the day and the heaviest fish bag. For the team that is unsuccessful in landing a fish during the event, a wooden spoon will be awarded!
The cost for a team of two is £170 or £85 per person (a team partner will be arranged for individual entrants). The price includes the day’s fishing with breakfast, lunch and drinks. Tackle will be provided, if required, as well as a fish cleaning service for an additional fee.
