With Keith taking a well-earned break specialist angler Dean Macey will be making a guest appearance in the hot-seat. He’ll be joined in the bothy by International match-angler and former Fish’O’Mania champion Steve Ringer.

Dean gives us an insight into his chub fishing tactics during a session last week on the River Kennet in Berkshire and we also pay a visit to Yorkshire where Bob Roberts shows us how copes with the conditions on a swollen River Swale.
 
In addition there’s some specimen carp action with Mark Pitchers who makes a long journey from his home in the North-East to target a winter whacker at Rookley Country Park  on the Isle of Wight.
 
In Fishery Focus Dean will also be taking a look at the sport being found at some typical UK venues to suit all anglers, with tips on the most effective methods and baits to use and the conditions you’re likely to face.

Keith will be returning to the bothy next week where he’ll be joined by Ian ‘Chilly’ Chillcott, a true legend on the carp fishing scene and a founder of ECHO, the English Carp Heritage Organisation.
