The prolonged cold weather has led to another tough week on the area’s main commercial fisheries with no ton-up match weights and not many winning bags over 50lb either.

The most consistent fishery has been Moorlands Farm, which produced the top weight of the week in the shape of a 94-13-0 bag of F1s to George Reynolds, which fished breadpunch at eight metres on Silver Pool peg 32. There was also a 93-11-0 bag in Sunday’s open – Mal Watson fishing pole and pellet at eight metres from Silver Pool peg 29 to win.
