Australian native and 2012 top female freshwater angler Benchawan Thiansungoen has landed a potential All-Tackle record chao phraya catfish (Pangasius sanitwongsei) while fishing Palm Tree Lagoon, Thailand.
Benchawan’s fish ate a piece of chicken, and it took the experienced angler 30 minutes to subdue the 55.25 kg (121 lb 12 oz) fish.
Once the fish was landed, it was quickly weighed and documented before being released alive.
