The third annual ‘Fishing With The Stars’ charity event held at England’s Linear Fisheries has raised an incredible £20,000-plus for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
This year’s 48-hour fish-in was held on the famous venue’s Brasenose One and Two lakes in Oxfordshire, and paired entrants up with big-names from the sport including Ian Russell, Tim Paisley and Dave Lane. In total, around 80 participants fished between the two lakes, including over 30 familiar faces from the UK carp scene. An initial £20,581 was recorded in donations, and event organisers expect this to rise to over £25,000 when all contributions are accounted for.
