This annual fundraiser has grown year on year and is now the biggest Help For Heroes charity match in the UK.
The 300 peg, six hour match will take place at Garbolino Lindholme Lakes on August the 2nd 2014. The draw will be at 9 am. The entry fee is £25.00 all in.
Anglers of all abilities are welcome, from absolute beginners to seasoned match anglers. This is a chance to meet and compete with some of UK’s top anglers with the likes of Marc Rodger, Jason Le Bosquet, Nick Speed, Dave Swain, Zac Brown, Shane Atkin, Emma Pickering, Richie Hull, Matty Pillay and many more top names all coming together for this fantastic cause. There will also be a separate raffle on the day with hundreds of prizes up for grabs including coaching days with some of the top anglers and coaches.
The match organiser Dave Stott says “I’m amazed at how this has grown, but in another way I’m not because I know how well people respond to the Help For Heroes charity, when I organised the first match six years ago there were nine of us sat around my local pond, just look at it now, 300 anglers at a prestigious fishery with young kids with their dads sat behind them, Serving and ex military personnel, members of Help For Heroes Band of Brothers, pleasure anglers, seasoned match anglers right through to World, UK, Fishomania and Maver Match This Champions, it makes my head spin”.
Dave is also planning to have a couple of ex World Champions and a few celebrity anglers booked in for the match too. Where else could you go for a day’s fishing and quite possibly peg next to a top angler AND raise money for Help For Heroes?

Due to the popularity of the Lindholme match there is now a second match organised for October the 4th at Preston Boldings Pools. This will be a 100 peg match.
Both matches are already over half full, book early to avoid missing out. Please note, anglers turning up on the day without pre-booking will not be allowed to take part.
