The Angling Trust will be holding a Ladies International assessment day on the Aire and Calder canal on Sunday 26th October this year, and the England management team of  Dave Brooks and Joe Roberts will be looking to select a squad of anglers to compete in the 22nd  FIPSed Ladies World Angling Championship in Belgium next August. 

The assessment day will be a session of 5 hours with the emphasis on international rules to include both pole and waggler fishing.  Bloodworm and joker will be allowed along with other baits, which each angler will need to provide within the following set limits;
Ground bait 12 litres
Joker 500 ml
Bloodworm reasonable hook pack
Total of all other baits 2 litres
Only natural baits are allowed, boilies, pellets etc are barred.

The headquarters on the day will be at Delves Cafe / Fishery, Thorne, South Yorkshire DN8 4BQ to meet at 8.30am.

Any interested lady anglers must nominate by sending a brief summary of their last three years of competitive angling to Sandra Drew, Competitions & Events Manger,  Angling Trust at sandra.drew@anglingtrust.net, or c/o Angling Trust, Strelley Hall, Nottingham. NG8 6PE  by no later than Friday 17th October.  All nominees must have Angling Trust individual membership, and will be expected to help with team fundraising, or to pay their international costs should they be selected to the squad.
