REPORT

MOLANDS Definitely switching into winter mode with the fishing becoming patchy but on the good days, weights to over 100lb were caught last week. Pole with pellet or maggot fished down the bottom of the first shelf at 6 metres is the top tactic with waggler and pellet or pellet feeder also working at the moment. Top pegs are 2, 8, 15, 21 – 25, 31, 42 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS The milder weather saw more carp being caught and nets to 60lb were caught in matches with fish to 15lb featuring. Pellet waggler or pellet feeder fished at around 30 metres pinging 8mm pellets has been the top method with the high bank along pegs 7 – 13 the best area.

LITTLE GEARYS The water is quite clear now and the fishing has been affected by this but catches to 70lb have been taken this week with carp and F1’s providing the main action at the moment. Pellet feeder across to the island with punched bread or dead maggot on the hook and pole with maggot or pellet fished down the first shelf have been the best tactics. Top pegs
5 – 15, 21 and 28 – 30.

GRATUITIES A quiet week on Grats but those who have fished have had good catches on soft pellet fished over micros or ground bait with crucians, small carp, skimmers and decent roach all coming to this. Waggler to the island with punched bread or corn is also catching a few. Best pegs have been along the back bank on 9 – 15.

SIBLINGS A Still a little patchy but nets to 60lb have been caught with pole fished maggot fished over ground bait the best tactics with ide, F1’s and carp showing.

SIBLINGS B In decent form with plenty of F1’s being caught, particularly around the end of the pool on pegs 5 – 7. Pole fished pellet or maggot is working well.

ANNIVERSARIES The water level is now back to nearly normal and the fishing has improved with plenty of F1’s being caught from most areas. The odd bigger bream and tench are also being caught.
