Sherwood’s most senior angler John gave a lesson to all the younger anglers, fishing pole and pellet at 13m out and 10 m down the side under the willow tree on peg 21 he caught steady throughout the match ending with 22 carp – 6lb. In 2^nd Neil fished pole corn and pellet at 12m loosing his first four carp and landing 10 others the biggest being 9lb

Steve drew end peg 15 on the Maunside with the wind blowing into it there was only going to be one winner, fishing pole with chopped worm and caster he had a net of chub – 1lb and half a dozen small carp – 12oz he had to fish 14m under the far bank to keep the fish feeding. 2^nd placed Jason fished pole at 12.5m and 4mm pellet at peg 4 on the Cavendish over ground bait for skimmers from 4oz – 2lb but had to wait till the last 2 hours before the fish really moved in then it was a bite every put in.

Carl fished a small ground bait feeder and meat cast tight into the lily pad at peg 33, he had 12 carp – 4lb loosing 3 bigger fish. Gary in 2^nd place fished pole and chopped worm at peg 41 finishing with a net of roach, skimmers and small carp.

A close match with Paul Hogkinson just coming out on top, fishing pole and pellet at 14m he had a nice net of skimmers – 2lb catching throughout the match. Steve on end peg 63 fished pole short at side of the lily pad with caster for a mixed net of small carp chub and roach – 12oz
