Steve did well to fish the pole in the gusty wind were most anglers opted for bomb or feeder Steve fished pole at 11m out and down the side he feed very little and sat it out waiting for a bite which paid off landing just 10 carp the biggest being 10lb in a total of 60lb 15oz. 2nd place Tony fished the bomb and meat cast to the island he also ended with 10 carp and 3rd placed Craig cast the bomb and corn to the spinner for 22 carp – 5lb.

One of the best attended matches and one of the best results so far this year. Pete drew peg one only used because of the higher attendance, with the warm spring wind blowing into it there was no looking back, he fished long pole at 13m and corn down the margin for at net of carp – 7lb and a total of 90lb exact. 2nd Mansfield’s Pete Hodgetts fished pole and pellet out and down the margin his biggest carp was 9lb and with 18 others he had a total of 75lb 1oz. third place went to fishery owner Mick Langton at 24 he fished pole and pellet at 13m over ground bait for 22 carp – 7lb and a level 70lb.

John Tingle seems to be making this match his own with back to back wins fishing pole and pellet he had a net of skimmers – 2lb to be proud of, fishing at 9m he feed a large pot of pellets at the start and then a few after every fish. Still not able to get on the top spot, 2nd again was John Holmes drawn at 7 he fished the same has the winner and would have won if he hadn’t wasted a fruitless hour fishing the feeder cast to the far bank.
