All the top weights came from the Cavendish Lake with Dean Richmond coming out top, fishing pole worm and caster at 11m on peg 11 loose feeding caster and worm mixed in the catapult he soon had the fish up in the water finishing with a net of skimmers and roach – the 1lb mark having a bite every put he ended with 36lb 7oz. 2nd placed Roy fished pole and a small piece of paste on the hook for skimmers and small carp – 2lb. Best on the Maunside was Richard Wood with 23lb 7oz of chub from peg 5.

Nearly the end of October and this lake is fishing like it’s the middle of summer, Keith Morris was the only angler to break the 3 figure barrier he had 35 carp from 2lb – 7lb fishing the bomb with meat and corn cast 40m tight to the lily pads to weigh in 114lb 11oz. In 2nd place again Dave Madin fished the pole corn and pellet out at 12m and down the margin for 12 big carp -10lb

54lb 15oz was only good enough for 13th place in this cracking match and again over 100lb was needed to win. Pete Hodgetts drew peg 8 and fished pole meat and pellet on 4 lines alternating each one to keep the fish coming having carp – 8lb most puts in and ending with 122lb 9oz. In 2nd place Dave fished pole and corn at 12m for just 14 carp the biggest being 12lb.
