Tunnel Barn farm Fishery matches and fishery form, Weekly Report ending 29th August 2010
With heavy rain late on in the week, all of the pools are now full. The fishing this week has been good despite the conditions, with 130lb caught in the mid week match. Pleasure anglers are also catching big weights. The best baits this week have been red or white maggot, corn and pellet. On a good day the fish will come up in the water.
Top Pool
F1 carp, bream and roach on all pegs to pellet or corn. Some bigger carp on open ended feeder to the islands with dead maggot.
Bottom Pool
As always, corn in the margins is catching a lot of big carp, with the best this week weighing in at 21lb. Lots of F1 carp and silverfish on pellet or maggot.
House Pool
White maggot fished up in the water for f1 carp, bream, perch, roach and tench. Corn in the margins for common carp.
House 2/Extension Pool
Pellet is best in the margins and up/down in the water. Pole feeder with maggot to the islands produced 115lb in Wednesdays match.
New Pool
Maggot or pellet has been the best bait on this pool, fished at 8m or in the margins. Lots of f1 carp, bream, roach, perch, tench and chub on all pegs.
Canal Pool
White maggot at 4-6m has been the best bait in this lake fishing up/down in the water, with golden rudd and skimmer bream, f1 & f2 carp, barbel, tench and roach all showing well on all pegs. Corn down the margins for some big bream and carp.
Club Pool
Corn in the margins and pellet at 10m have been the best baits on this pool this week. F1 & f2 carp, bream, roach, barbel and tench all showing well fished on the bottom.

The fishing has been good this week with 100lb+ caught in matches and by pleasure anglers. Corn, paste and white maggot have been the best baits this week.
Top Pool
The bowl area has been producing big weights on paste or corn fished at 10m. White maggot in the margins on both straight side pegs for carp and silverfish.
Bottom Pool
Corn for big carp up to 20lb in the margins. Lots of f1 carp on paste and silverfish on maggot.
House Pool
White maggot fished up in the water for f1 carp, bream, perch, roach and tench. Open ended feeder to the islands for common carp.
House 2/Extension Pool
Corn in the margins and pellet fished out have both been producing well this week. Paste against the island for big fish.
New Pool
Chub and f1 carp on the roadside pegs to white maggot. Paste for f1 carp, bream and tench all at 8m on the pole. Margins with corn for some bigger fish.
Canal Pool
White maggot has been the best bait on all pegs for f1 &f2 carp, bream, golden rudd, tench, barbel and perch, fished at 8m. Corn in the margins for common carp.
Club Pool
Paste at 8m for f1 carp and bream. Corn in the margins for barbel, tench, roach and f1 & f2 carp.

All pools are fishing well with 100lb+ for pleasure and match anglers. White maggot, pellet, corn and paste have been the best baits this week, fishing 2m from the edge for some big weights.
Top Pool
The bowl has been the best for carp on paste or pellet. Lots of roach, bream and tench to white maggot.
Bottom Pool
Corn or bread in the margins have been the best baits for big carp. 4 were weighed on Monday for a total of 60lb. Lots of f1 carp and silverfish to pellet or maggot.
House Pool
9m and the margins have been good for carp, bream, perch and tench on pellet or maggot. Pole feeder against the island has also been working well.
House 2/Extension Pool
The fish have been in the margins with paste being the best for bream and tench. Fishing at 6m with pellet has been the best for f1 carp and silverfish.
New Pool
Bream, roach, perch, chub, f1 carp and tench are both in the margins and at 7.5m with pellet or maggot.
Canal Pool
White maggot dominates this pool with common carp, f1 & f2 carp, bream, tench, barbel, roach, golden rudd and perch, fished at 6-8m and in the margins, with corn as a back up.
Club Pool
Pellet or paste has been the best bait fished at 4m – 6m or in the margins for f1 & f2 carp, barbel and all silverfish.

The warm weather has bought the fish up in the water and into the margins, with lots of 120lb+ weights being caught by match and pleasure anglers. Paste, corn, pellet and red maggot have been the best baits this week.
Top Pool
Lots of carp showing to paste up in the water. Red maggot for silverfish.
Bottom Pool
Some big 20lb carp have been caught late at night on corn in the margins. Red maggot or pellet has been the best for f1 carp and silverfish.
