Simon made the most of the end peg draw fishing the pole and pellet out at 13m a short line at 6m and two margin swims, taking a couple of fish from each line he amassed a total of 108lb 11oz of carp – 5lb. In second stop Julian fished the pole and pellet out at 14m for carp – 4lb and corn late down the margin for carp – 8lb finishing with the only other ton weight 106lb 15oz.

Drawn at peg 40 Galvin went out to catch the resident shoal of carp fishing the pellet wag shallow he landed 35 carp – 6lb steady throughout the match for a level 88lb.

Runner up Dave Hiley fished the pole and maggot at 6m for 66lb of Ide and Skimmers before adding two carp to his catch for a total of 87-6-0.

A bigger than average turn out meant that flyer peg 31 had to go in, and it was Roy Butterfield that managed to draw it. Fishing the pole and pellet at 13m up in the water he landed carp – 3lb most puts in finishing just ahead of Dave Turton with 107lb 6oz. Dave drew in the bay at peg 20 and fished the pole and pellet on two lines at 13 & 9m for 104lb 4oz of carp – 6lb.

With another big turnout peg 31 had to go in and Richard Evans was lucky enough to draw it, fishing the pole and pellet up in the water he had a massive 208lb 12oz of carp – 5lb. Best of the rest was Subfish Tackle man Jason White also fishing the pole and pellet up in the water landing carp – 8lb finishing with normally a good weight of 77lb 14oz.
