REPORT
MOLANDS Molands has been in good form this week with match weights to over 120lb and plenty of good back up catches being caught around the pool. The carp are showing in good numbers with fish to 16lb weighed in and lots of fish in the 6 – 10lb range being caught on method feeder or straight lead with pellet or boilies. F1’s, skimmers and tench are also having a go and margin tactics such as dead maggot, caster, corn or worm have accounted for good nets. Top pegs are 2 – 8, 10, 21, 27 – 31, 35, 43 – 46, 52, 55 and 60.
GEARYS Although match weights have exceeded 80lb and pleasure anglers have enjoyed some good sport, Gearys can best described as patchy at the moment. Bomb and pellet and paste, corn and worm fished down the margins have been the best tactic s with carp to 18lb caught this week. Top pegs have been 1, 9, 12, 18, 19, 27, 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Still the most consistent pool on the Fishery with good weights coming from all around the pool. F1’s to 4lb and carp to 8lb have provided the bulk of the catches with long pole and pellet fished on the deck or shallow the top tactic. Margin fishing later on in matches or pleasure fishing in the evenings are also catching a lot of fish with corn, worm and paste all doing well.
GRATUITIES Grats is fishing well at the moment with lots of carp in the 1 – 4lb range, tench, crucians and skimmers and the odd barbel showing. Pellet or method feeder fished to the island has been the best tactic. Also a pellet waggler fished close in with meat or corn. Top pegs 6, 8, 9, 11 and 15.
WILLOW Lots of smaller carp and F1’s are coming to the waggler fished across to the island with corn or pellet on the hook. Down the edges later in the day is seeing the better fish caught with fish into double figure taking corn or meat over ground bait.
SIBLINGS The first matches were held on Siblings this week and saw mixed results with top weights to over 60lb mainly of carp in the 2 – 4lb range. Pole fished pellet or corn is the best tactic with pegs 1 – 5 and 13 – 19 on Siblings A the best area.
ANNIVERSARIES A few bigger car up to 17lb have been taken on boilies fished up against the far bank on the early pegs 1 – 4. Some good mixed nets of crucians, tench, skimmers and F1’s are coming to float fished maggot or caster.
