REPORT
MOLANDS Molands has been in great form through the week with match weights to over 100lb but sport dropped over the weekend with the cooler nights. The top tactic has been pellet waggler for carp up to double figures. Method feeder with boilies has also been working well. Top pegs are 2, 8, 19, 23, 27, 33 – 38, 44 – 46 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS Picked up a bit this week with carp showing all around the pool and catches to over 80lb. Some big fish have been showing this week with fish just short of 20lb been caught. Top tactics have been straight lead and boilies or 8mm pellet down the edge with worm or paste or even with 6mm pellet. The best pegs are 6, 9, 13, 17 – 21, 27, 31, 33 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Little Gearys has been a lot harder this week with the F1’s not showing in great numbers. Carp have featured well with pellet waggler, method feeder or surface fishing accounting for good nets of fish ranging from 3 – 8lb. Top pegs are 3, 5, 8, 12, 15, 21 and 25 – 28.
GRATUITIES The colour has dropped out a little and fine tuning tactics has been the order of the day. Expander pellet or caster fished on the pole has caught good nets of crucians, skimmers and the odd carp and tench. A small method or pellet feeder is the best tactic for carp. Best pegs have been 1, 3, 6, 8, 11 and 15.
WILLOW Fishing tight up to the island has been the best tactic with method/pellet feeder or waggler catching carp to 4lb and F1’s to 2lb. Best pegs are 1, 5 and 10 – 12.
SIBLINGS A & B Getting more and more popular with anglers enjoying good sport for carp, tench, skimmers and F1’s. Pole and pellet fished across to the far bank or down to the next platform has been the best approach.
