REPORT
MOLANDS Another good week on Molands with fish being caught on all areas and catches to over 70lb being taken. Carp to double figures and F1’s to 6lb have featured in nets and a variety of tactics are working at the moment. The F1’s are responding to the maggot feeder fished three quarters way across or on the pole with maggot fished over micros. The carp are coming to punched bread on the bomb or waggler and pellet fished tight up to the island. Best pegs are
2, 6, 12, 15, 23 – 27, 43 – 47 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS Despite the cold weather over the last week, Gearys is still in good form with carp to 14lb and plenty of skimmers providing good sport. The high bank area from pegs 7 – 14, 19, 31 and 36 have been the most consistent. The carp are coming to bomb and punched bread or 8mm pellet and the skimmers are feeding on maggot or pellet fished over ground bait.
LITTLE GEARYS Some good catches up to 60lb have been caught but generally it has been a little tougher that lately on Little Gearys. Maggot feeder is still the top tactic but pole with maggot or pellet fished long is also catching F1’s again. Best pegs are 7 – 11, 15, 21 and
25 – 29.
WILLOW A small waggler fished tight up to the island is catching plenty of F1’s and the odd decent carp. On some pegs, dobbing bread down the margins is accounting for carp into double figures.
ANNIVERSARIES Pegs 1 – 4 are the hot areas on Annies with the fish shoaling tight in the top bay. Pole and pellet or maggot is accounting for nets to 50lb+ of carp, F1’s ide and roach.
SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with nets to 40lb being caught mainly of F1’s but the odd decent carp, tench and ide are also showing. Pole fished maggot or expander over micros is the top tactic fished three quarters way across or tight to the island.
SIBLINGS B Lots of bites with F1’s to 2lb providing the action with maggot, caster or pellet all catching fish at the moment.
