REPORT
MOLANDS There have been lots of carp caught from 5 – 12lb with pleasure anglers fishing on the top with bread or dog biscuit and match angers on pellet waggler or bomb and pellet to the island. The F1s are still not showing in any consistency but nets to around 70lb were being caught from around the pool with shallow pellet or on the deck with banded hard pellet or caster best. Top pegs have been 2, 10, 15, 19, 21, 27, 33, 37, 43 – 46 and 52 – 56
GEARYS Pleasure anglers fishing into the evenings have enjoyed the best of the action on Gearys with anglers reporting nets of up to 20 carp from 8 – 17lb using boilies or big pellets on the lead or off the top with Chum mixers. In the matches, catches to over 100lb have been caught with bomb and pellet or pole with dead maggot/corn or meat over ground bait working best. Silver fish nets to over 50lb are coming to caster/worm or expander pellet.
LITTLE GEARYS Good sport can be had from all areas with F1s to 5lb, carp to double figures, crucians and skimmers. Short pole at five metres or down the margins with paste, pellet, corn or meat working best but pellet/method feeder or pellet waggler are also worth using at the moment.
GRATUITIES No matches this week but plenty of pleasure anglers have been on Grats and most have enjoyed good sport. Mixed catches of crucians, tench, carp and skimmers are coming to float fished corn, pellet or caster. Paste or meat fished down the edges is picking the better sized carp, particularly later in the day.
SIBLINGS A Cracking nets of ide are coming to caster or maggot fished shallow with fish to over 1lb featuring in nets to 30lb. F1s, carp and skimmers are being caught on paste or pellet fished tight across or down the margins.
SIBLINGS B There has been very consistent sport this week on ‘B’ with F1s from ½lb – 2lb in nets to nearly 100lb. Pole fished meat or pellet has been the best approach fished tight up to the far bank or at five metres. The best pegs have been from 3 – 10 but all pegs are producing well.
ANNIVERSARIES The top end from pegs 1 – 8 and 19 – 23 have been in the best form with F1s and small carp showing to pellet, paste or caster fished on the pole at 13 metres.
WILLOW The most consistent pool we have at the moment with carp and F1s showing all around. Pellet waggler, pellet feeder or a small method to the island have all been working well. Later in the day, corn or paste down the margins has been producing big nets of carp.
