Total-Fishing.com understand that with only a few days left to respond to the EA’s consultation on the close season on rivers, LESS THAN 8,0000 ANGLERS have so far bothered.

The consultation closes on March 11th.

From a 2018 survey of anglers’ opinions we know 43% of anglers then supported retaining the current close season: 17% support retaining a close season, but changing the dates; and 33% support removing the close season (the remainder were undecided).
