At the third attempt to qualify for the World Club Feeder Championship, Team Ringers blew the opposition away at Arrow Valley Lake, Redditch, with a near-perfect score of seven penalty points.

Incredibly this included section wins in four of the five sections, from Steve Ringer Fishing and Phil Ringer, Rob Wootton and Adam Wakeline, with Jamie Harrison carding a well earnt third from a rock-hard area. Barnsley Blacks finished in second with South Yorkshire Feeder in third.

On a venue that fished far harder than the teams were expecting the skimmers and roach were reluctant to feed and a modest 14lb 14oz was enough to win the individual match for Frankie Gianoncelli (Barnsley) from end peg 59. The catch consisted of skimmers to 2lb on a groundbait feeder.

Our congratulations to the Ringerbaits team and we wish them all the best in May on the Plovdiv Canal for the Fipsas Federazione Italiana Pesca Sportiva Attività Subacquee Nuoto Pinnato World Club Feeder Championships.
