FISHERY REPORT
MOLANDS Molands has been in very good form again over the past week with catches exceeding 100lb. . The Pellet is working best at the moment with long pole fished with banded hard pellet or an expander accounting for f1s to 5lb ,bream to 4lb and the odd tench and decent carp. Pellet or method feeder to the island and bomb with pellet is also catching carp into double figures. Most pegs are fishing well but the hotspots have been 10-15,23-29 and 43-48
GEARYS Some cracking catches of carp coming to bomb with pva bags and pellet or boilies on the hook and the fish have been showing on all areas including the shallow water at the top end. Fish to 20lb have been caught with plenty in the 10-17lb range showing. There have been plenty of silver fish caught on the pole with maggot or caster over ground bait.
LITTLE GEARYS A little slower this week with catches estimated to around 60lb best. Pole fished maggot, caster or pellet fished long at 13 metres + or down the edges has been working best but a small pellet feeder or method feeder fishing tight to the island is also catching. The most consistent pegs have been 7 – 21.
WILLOW Pegs 1-3 and 7-9 have been the popular pegs this week with plenty of F1s and carp being caught either on the pole with pellet/maggot or a small feeder to the island with banded hard pellet or dead maggot on the hook.
ANNIVERSARIES Annies is still a little patchy with the fish again still showing better in the open water and the best pegs are 6, 15 – 19 and 21 – 23. A small waggler or pellet feeder with dead reds or expander is working best for F1s to 4lb and the odd carp.
SIBLINGS A Much better this week with some quality carp and f1s being caught ,pole with banded pellet,,expander or maggots fished over micros is the top tactic. Dobbing bread along the island is also worth a try as well.. Best pegs have been 1- 5 and 13 – 19.
SIBLINGS B Plenty of F1s have been showing around the end of the pool on pegs 5 – 11 with nets to around 50lb best but plenty of bites from the F1s around the 1 – 2lb range. Dobbing bread across has accounted for the better carp up to 8lb.
GRATUITIES Anglers fishing maggot or caster have been having plenty of fish with skimmers, roach, perch, crucians and the odd tench and carp coming to this. Best tactic for the carp is to fish punched bread on the bomb or waggler and fish to double figures are falling to this.
