FISHERY REPORT
MOLANDS Molands has still been in very good form for the time of year with carp to 18lb ,f1s to 7lb ,tench to 5lb and bream to 4lb featuring in catches this week. A small pellet feeder or banjo feeder has worked well on most areas fished upto the island with a wafter,,banded pellet or dead maggots on the hook. Polefished maggot or expander is also worth a try . Best area have been pegs 2-8, 15-25,42-48 and 56-60
GEARYS Carp still showing on most parts of the pool with catches of upto 16 fish in sessions including plenty of doubles upto 18lb. Boilies or big pellet fished on the bomb with a PVA bag . There have been plenty of silver fish caught on the pole with maggot or caster over ground bait with the high bank pegs producing nets to 30lb of mainly skimmers to 3lb.
LITTLE GEARYS Picked up a bit this week with carp and f1s showing well from most areas with the pool having a nice tinge of colour at the moment. Pole fished maggot, caster or pellet fished long at 13 metres + or down the edges has been working best but a small pellet feeder or method feeder fishing tight to the island is also catching..
WILLOW Pegs 1-3 and 7-9 have been the popular pegs this week with plenty of F1s and carp being caught either on the pole with pellet/maggot or a small feeder to the island with banded hard pellet or dead maggot on the hook.
ANNIVERSARIES The open water on pegs 6, 15 – 19 and 21 – 23 has been the most consistent. A small maggot or pellet feeder with dead reds or expander is working best for F1s to 4lb and the odd carp.
SIBLINGS A Much better this week with some quality carp and f1s being caught ,pole with banded pellet,,expander or maggots fished over micros is the top tactic. Dobbing bread along the island is also worth a try as well.. Best pegs have been 1- 5 and 13 – 19.
SIBLINGS B Plenty of F1s have been showing around the end of the pool on pegs 5 – 11 with nets to around 50lb best but plenty of bites from the F1s around the 1 – 2lb range. Dobbing bread across has accounted for the better carp up to 8lb.
GRATUITIES Maggot ,cater and or expander pellet have been producing nice mixed nets of silvers and a few carp.The bigger carp are coming to punched bread fished on the waggler or a small bomband pegs 7-10 are the better pegs for this..
