There’s only one place to go for cutting edge tactics, the latest tackle and all the top names in pike fishing.
That’s why predator anglers from across the country will be heading for Kettering on September 25, for the annual Pike Anglers Club Convention.
Drennan Cup Winner Jules Chidgey will be topping a speakers bill which also includes Eric Edwards, Gary Knowles and Mark Ackerley.
Talks will cover everything from the drains of Somerset to the loughs of Ireland, from tempting trout water monsters to using planer floats.
Convention organiser Colin Goodge said: “There will be something for everyone at Kettering, whether you’re a seasoned pike angler or a predator novice.
“Many see the Convention as the place to start their season, whether they want to catch up on the latest tactics, stock up on tackle for the winter ahead, catch up with old friends or make some new ones.
“It’s a day not to be missed – for anyone interested in pike fishing.”
Stalls at the event will offer everything from terminal tackle to rods, lures, book launches and even boats.
Piking2010 is being held at Kettering Conference Centre, NN15 6PB, on Saturday, September 25. Parking is free and there will be catering and a bar on-site.
Doors open 9am. Tickets are £10 (PAC member) or £15 (non-member). Accompanied juniors are free.
