Drayton Reservoir has hit sensational form with an angler weighing in over 1500lb of carp in an incredible 11-hour session.

Mark Hutchinson fished zig rigs – a method in which a floating bait is fished under the surface of the water – to land over 100 quality carp up to 18lb. 
Rugby based Mark presented the brightly coloured boilie hook baits from 80 to 120 yards out, and must have been worn out at the end of it as he continually fed sloppy groundbait over the ‘zigs’ using a spod.
The catch is believed to be the second biggest haul ever taken at the Daventry day ticket venue.
