This week the focus will be on specimen fishing and Keith will be joined by Ian Welch, an angler who’s enjoyed great success in that field. Ian will have stacks of advice to help you catch bigger and better fish, whatever you’re preferred target.

You can see Nigel Botherway in action on the beautiful River Wye in Herefordshire. He spent a session on the renowned stretch of water near Ross-on Wye in search of some prime late summer barbel, and he certainly wasn’t to be disappointed.
 
Keith also gets out on the bank to demonstrate his tactics for fishing the margins at commercial waters. Neglected by many anglers, these areas are often home to specimen sized fish that can be caught using a relatively simple approach.
 
And in Fishery Focus Keith will have his low-down on the prospects for all anglers around the UK this weekend. There’ll be details on the conditions you can expect and the most effective methods and baits to use at some typical venues.
 
Sea fishing takes centre stage on Tight Lines next week when Keith’s guest will be Dave Lewis. As a journalist, consultant and vastly experienced angler both home and abroad, he’ll have plenty of advice to help you enjoy the sport around our shoreline.
