The saga of top trout water Draycote Water looks set to draw to a close, with the owners having agreed to allow fishing on the big trout reservoir from April.
The venue was closed amidst considerable acrimony last year, with Severn Trent citing building work as the reason for shutting down the fishing altogether.
However, plans to build a new visitor centre and car park have had to be scrapped due to lack of funding. It’s believed that anglers will not be allowed to fish from the dam wall when the Warwickshire venue opens its doors again. However, there will be more boats available for the trout fishing at Draycote Water.
