The NFA England Carp Team will be hosting an observation match at Drayton Fishery in Daventry next weekend from the 6th to 8th June.
The match will be by invitation only and help identify potential anglers who could be worthy of travelling to South Africa for the 2008 World Carp Championships. Anglers will be fishing from 9am on Friday 6th June until 9am on Sunday 8th June making it a full 48 hour enduro match fished to international rules, replicating the conditions that anglers will face on the International angling stage.
Spectators are welcome to attend the match and as the England team are only using one section of Drayton, the full lake will still be open giving anglers the chance to fish on the same water as some of England’s finest.
This is only an observation match for the England manager, Mitch Smith, although the NFA and team selectors hope that it will be possible in the future to establish further matches which will help provide an opportunity to look at even more of the top anglers in the country.
If you want to find out more about this event, please contact Mitch Smith, England Manager directly on 07887 880556 who will be able to provide further information.
