Trout anglers will be looking forward to the opening up of some of the better stillwaters in the area.

Ringstead Grange trout fishery is open for business on Saturday February 19th, with a day ticket set at £20 (boat hire £8), while it’s £21 at Elinor Fishery (boat hire £9), which opens on Saturday February 26th. There are concessions for juniors and OAPs. Ravensthorpe is the first of the big Anglian Water Reservoirs opening its doors, also on February 26th, followed by Pitsford on March 11th, Grafham on March 18th and Rutland on April 1st.
