Double figure fish breaks long standing Irish record
An angler fishing out of County Cork has boated a new Irish haddock record at a massive 11lb 14oz.
Tony Santry was deep sea fishing with skipper Colin Barnes of the Holly Joe when he hooked into a bigger than average fish.
After a bit of a struggle the prize was brought to the boat where it turned out o be a huge haddock.
The fish was later weighed on certified scales and turned out to be a record breaking catch. The fish weighed 11lb 14oz, breaking the 44-year -old Irish record.
