Samantha Sim is the Evesham Festival Ladies Champion following the weekend event fished in the town and at Hampton Ferry. Samantha drew peg 30 and fish feeder for two bream and some silver fish on pellet for 10-13-0.
That was too good for Gemma Matthews, who caught bream and perch on pole and maggot for 8-11-8 from peg 2.
Top local performer was Evesham Youth’s Clare Kinnersley who feeder fished maggot for a bream and some silver fish for 7-2-0. Last year’s winner, Studley’s Marina Sylvester, finished in fourth with 6-12-0.
