The Anglers were met with wet and windy conditions on the 2nd Fish to Win Qualifier at Monk Lakes near Maidstone in Kent, where Match Lake 2 dominated proceedings with 8 of the top ten spots were recorded.
Taking top spot from peg 74 was 18 year old Surrey based angler Dave Sandford (Medway Tackle) who caught consistantly all day at 5 metres with Pellet, picking up the second qualifying position with 138lb 8oz from peg 56 was Essex based Taxi Driver Alec Roberts (Middy) who was absolutely delighted in reaching the final, Alec changed tactics and switched from corn and paste to maggots in the last 2 hours and immediately started catching Barbel.
Just missing out on qualification in third place was Robbie Taylor (Delcac – Preston Innovations) with 125lb 8oz fishing paste short and meat over pellet in the edge.
Forth spot on peg 77 was Mark Parratt with 120lb 12oz closly followed by Mark Sandford (Medway Tackle) with 116lb 4oz from peg 47
In 6th place was Paul Law (Talk Angling – J & B Tackle) who had the biggest weight on Lake 1 with 110lb 8oz from peg 44 fishing corn short over micro pellet.
