GARBOLINO SPRING CLASSIC MAY 18th to 21st
White Acres is excited to confirm the details for this new festival that was announced earlier in the year, this new festival for 2009 will be held over four days on Trewaters and Acorn with each angler fishing each lake in rotation and all results counting. Acorn is an onsite lake which is a popular lake stocked with carp, skimmers, bream, tench & roach, match weights have been in excess of 150lbs. Trewaters is off site and is split into three lakes and each lake will be fished, the top lake is an all carp water fish ranging from 1lb to 3lb, the middle and bottom lakes are stocked with carp, F1’s tench, & skimmer bream, match record on the venue is 112lb with average weights of around 25lb but remember the average fish size is 8oz going up to 5lb so there should be plenty of bites. On recent festivals the average winning weights have been 60lbs plus and as the festival is later on in the year we are expecting the fishing to be good in the warmer weather, for more information on this venue please look on the match focus page of the www.news-reel.com website. This festival is restricted to 48 anglers which will be split into sections of 12 and then two 6 man sections within that, the places are starting to fill up quickly so booking your place is recommended now. The entry for the festival is £100 plus your accommodation cost. PRESTON INNOVATIONS PAIRS JUNE 15th to 18th
White Acres is pleased to confirm the details for our first ever pairs festival, this is a new event for 2009 which was announced earlier in the year but now we have the full information and are excited as fishing legends Preston Innovations have come on board to sponsor the event. The festival will be held over four days; each pair will rotate between Twin Oaks low & high numbers and Trewaters middle and bottom lakes. Twin Oaks is one of the best lakes on the complex offering fantastic fishing and boasting phenomenal match weights, the low numbered lake is stocked with carp from 3lb to 8lb and on recent festivals fished the most consistent of all lakes on park, the high numbered lake is stocked with carp from 1lb – 5lb and also is stocked with a large number of silvers to boost overall weights. Trewaters middle and bottom lakes are stocked with carp, F1’s tench, & skimmer bream, the match record on the venue is 112lb with average weights of around 25lb but remember the average fish size is 8oz going up to 5lb so that should be plenty of bites. On recent festivals the winning weights have been 60lb plus and with the added bonus of the June weather we are hoping the lakes will fish better that ever.
