This year’s ACA Celebrity Masters promises to be bigger and better than ever.  With free entry on the day, the public are invited to come along and watch 20 teams comprising the country’s top anglers go head to head for the coveted ACA Trophy. 

At the end of the day over £20,000 worth of top end fishing tackle will be given away in a public raffle.  All the proceeds of the raffle will go to the Anglers’ Conservation Association to continue its fight against pollution and other damage to the nation’s fisheries.

The competition has been running for 16 years and this year’s event will be supported by Dynamite Baits, Pure Fishing, David Hall Publishing, EMAP, Drennan, Shakespeare, Daiwa, Maver, PAA, Leeda, Colmic, Preston, Shimano and Total Fishing among others.  Throughout the day there will be coaching sessions from PAA coaches for younger anglers on how to fish a variety of different methods.  After the competition has finished, spectators will be able to try out the fishing tackle used by the competitors and get their heroes’ autographs.  

The competition will be held once more at the prestigious Glebe Fishery (www. www.malloryparkfisheries.co.uk) near Peckleton in Leicestershire (see attached map and directions).  The gates open when the match starts at 11am.  The weigh in, raffle, barbeque and prize giving will be held after 5:30pm.
