Tunnel Barn Farm delivered another cracking competition as 142 anglers fought out the latest Fish ‘O’ Mania qualifier.
A surprise cold easterly wind meant that despite a good set of frame weights the fishing in some areas was difficult.
Adam Richards (Browning) made the most of the space on Club Pool end peg 24 to weigh in a magnificent 164lbs 6oz and land a place in the prestigious Fish ‘O’ Mania final in July. Fishing pellet down the middle he found a good stamp of carp to 6lbs.
Runner up was North West Guru star Andy Bennett who used his favoured caster shallow method honed on Partridge Lakes to take mainly small carp and F1’s for a weight of 148lbs 15oz.
In third place was Peter Goodman from Jenny’s peg 21 with 139lbs 4oz and in fourth was a former Fish ‘O’ Mania finalist winner Jamie Hughes on High peg 14 with a weight of 139lbs.
