Barston Lakes hosted its second festival in a week with the Swann Baits Barston Festival and it was Andy Findlay who came through to lift the trophy in a close finish with Steve Daly.
Thirty six anglers fished in three sections of 12, rotating the three sections over each of three days.Section winners on day one were Andy Findlay, Steve Daly and Dean Young. Findlay also won the day with 108lb from peg 57.One day two Findlay and Daly again won their sections to open up a lead going into day three, Findlay taking the overall win on the day with 127 lb from un-fancied peg 117 on the road bank.And they did it again on the third and final day, both winning their sections to take the decision to weight. Lee Davis took the overall win on the day with 150lb from peg 52 on paste over pellet. However, with Findlay putting 115lb on the scales he took the trophy.
