General
Water temperature just on 6 deg so shy bites, lighter tackle combined with good presentation is working with winter conditions and wind direction changing to N making fishing very challenging.
Best fishing is dusk and before dawn, or overcast days even in windy conditions some good catches coming out you just need to use watercraft to choose pegs and get your swims correct for species targeted.
Mixed lakes are producing carp, ide, perch, skimmers and rudd with the odd tench, roach and crucian. Bowes best out 28lb 10oz a mirror and some good bags if patience.
Feed very little and have patience will gain rewards, red maggots, red and yellow sweetcorn
Also pellet working on the hook, meat should be presented in small punched sizes, half prawn and mussle bringing in some nice fish also.
Lookout
Chris Pine Saturday on peg 21 trying out different winter methods and baits took 50 Skimmers average 13 oz, 10 carp, 2 tench all on Jellets pellet over angel feed pellet most coming from 8 metres out left and right
Anglers are having mixed catches depending on their choice of peg, Pegs 16a and 16, together with 1, 21, 24, 25, 39, 15 have all had some good results from pleasure anglers this week.
Bowes
