Wind spoiled presentation and missed more than took.

John got 7 on feeder to island, then rest on pole at 11 metres all on expander 4.5 & 6mm.

Catch report for week, with 3 heavy frosts, some times high winds water temperatures at all levels cooled quickly this week, putting fish down in water, however if tackle is balanced and swims plumbed up, very reduced feed, together with smaller hooks in general all end tackle scaled down, catches on all lakes are still being produced.

Lookout

Carp, Bream, Ide and Perch are the most prolific, followed by Rudd, Roach, Tench and Crucians now appear to be down for the winter. Bites are numerous but very shy, so fish are still feeding well.

Bowes

Carp feeding more in afternoons and some quality fish being caught, wind affecting pole anglers presentation, and feeder coming into there own. Pleasure anglers and Match anglers who find where the carp are shoaling up are then doing the business.

Bassetts

Switching on to feed around late morning then again around 3pm, some excellent catches coming out, Novices also doing well with catch rates.

Junior club

Every Sunday afternoon all Jnr coarse anglers welcome, float, feeder and pole being coached.
