Some good sized individual carp being caught feeding up before winter, even in the match on Wednesday an 18lb 4oz common was caught on 6 maggots, 4 x 2lb rudd and best ide out was 3lb 11oz by Tom Whitfield from Alston,  together with 2 bream of 6lb and 7lb. 
Brian Hepple from Sunderland caught 22 carp on peg 16 on worm most caught after 2.30pm best was a 19lb 8oz common, 
Perch also showing with cracking 2lb 9oz caught by Alan Craig on Lookout and 18 other perch, 6 Ide to 3lb 1oz, and 6 carp best 6lb 2oz and in Sundays match a 2lb 15oz perch was caught by Dave Pearson . Water temp down to 7 deg on bottom with 8 deg in middle and 8.7 deg on the surface so winter baits now, multiple maggots, casters, worm, pellet with sweetcorn and cubed meat catching a few, try angel micros damped to feed also mix hemp with groundbait.  Still feeding but now close together rather than spread out so you need to use watercraft to choose your peg.
