AN angler caught some weed with a difference during a night session on his local pier.

The 20-year-old was fishing at Kowloon in Hong Kong when he snagged a heavy object, which turned out to be a massive bag of cannabis.

The 33lb package, which police say had been abandoned by smugglers, was worth £173,000 at local street prices.

Police have the bag of weed in custody and are checking the wrappings for fingerprints.
