Mick Turner, Competition Organiser stated, “The Ladies World Championship was held in 2003 on this venue and was very successful. We look forward to another competitive match on this very prolific venue – we’re expecting some good fishing for over the weekend.”
Dick Clegg OBE, International Events Director added “I’m very pleased that we are hosting the Veterans World Championship. This was a proposal I put to the International Committee and it is one of the Championships we are able to run because of the waters available to us. It is important to support teams that take part in our Championships, and I would like to see this event develop further in the future. We would also welcome as many spectators as possible to come along and support the teams taking part to make this a good event.”
Please note: If there are any anglers that would like to act as peg stewards for the event then please contact Mick Turner, Competition Organiser on Mobile: 07802 726610. All peg stewards will receive a payment for their time plus a packed lunch.
