Tony Curd got the river season off to an absolute flyer with this fantastic catch of big bream from the River Thames.

Tony got to Teddington very early and fished the last bit of the non-tidal river upstream of the weir using groundbait feeder tactics for 40 slabs in just four hours, with the biggest going around 8lb.

He fished maggots on the hook, and mixed up Bait-Tech Omen and Kult Sweet Fishmeal for the feeder.
