The big carp have been on the feed at the Avenue and Monument Fisheries at Shifnal.

Haydn Jones had the best catch at The Avenue for some time with nine mirror carp to 31lb 12oz, plus a magnificent common carp known as ‘Ellie’ at 40lb 1oz. Haydn used four kilos of Active-8 boilies plus four kilos of Monument Mix and he also lost four more carp. Meanwhile, lots of big common carp are coming out of Monument, with Daniel Smith boasting the most memorable catch with fish of 21lb, 31lb 12oz and 40lb 8oz, all to sweetcorn. The fishery has banned Zig rigs due to foul hooking.
