Birmingham Anglers Association member Brendon Almquest has landed one of the biggest carp caught at the club’s Coppice Lake, at 31lb.

There’s a picture of the big mirror, witnessed by bailiff Leann Wallace, in the BAA’s November newsletter which can be viewed at http://www.baa.uk.com. The biggest carp caught at the fishery this year was a 34lb 2oz common to Stan Kovachev. Meanwhile the BAA’s stretch of the Teme at Cotheridge produced a 14lb barbel.
