Angling charity March Aid is looking forward to its biggest year yet as it continues its quest to raise money for UK charities and to help and support juniors and those in a vulnerable position to enjoy the sport.
The organisation is hosting a number of major events in 2015 including the Junior Match Aid British Champion of Champions final, which takes place at Cudmore Fishery on September 27th.
“This year is going to be huge for MatchAid,” says Spokesman Paul Roberts. “Along with being offered the Arena pool at Cudmore for the Junior Champion of Champions final, Preston Innovations is supporting us for another year in our three-day festival at Partridge Lakes, Warrington. They will have Des Shipp, Lee Kerry and Andy Findley there over the full three days for coaching, hints, tips, photos and any questions you may have..
“We are also in talks about working with people of all ages in their mental health recovery, by using angling as part of their person centred recovery plan.”
Charities supported through the money raised by Match Aid events recently include Get Hooked On Fishing, St Richards Hospice and the Claire Penning Fund.
