Greys & Chub Carp Academy manager Jason Green has landed the fish of a lifetime.

Whilst fishing the Rainbow complex on holiday in France, Jason caught the 83.4lb carp know as Eric’s Common, the first time the fish has been caught over 80lb.

Jason managed to catch this beautiful fish using the Greys Torsion 13’ 3.5lb TC rods, Shimano MGs reels, 40lb power pro braid, Kryston Quicksilver hooklink and a size 4 Drennan super strong hook.

Jason said: “To catch this fish was beyond all my expectations. I was lucky enough to land a 71lb mirror from Etang 5 four years ago, but to return to France some years later and land a 83.4lb common, well… I’m lost for words; this may well be the fish of my lifetime.”

Marketing manager Gav Burn said: “What an achievement, for Jason to now have two European PBs of a 71lb mirror carp and 83.4lb common carp from two different venues is incredible. I’m not surprised however, Jason’s attention to detail is second to none and it really does show that commitment and effort does reap huge rewards.”
