Tackle firm Browning is backing Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery’s ‘Double Header’ Match in August which will see anglers fishing two matches in the same day on the Shrewley Complex, as they fish-off for a first prize of a 16m Browning pole and a £500 cash prize.
The event takes place on Saturday August 3rd with the draw at 8am. Anglers will fish from 9.15am to 1pm before having a bite to eat. They will then draw for the second match at 2pm and fish from 3pm to 6.45pm.
Fishing will be in sections of 12 anglers with each section winner picking up £30 and each second in section £25. There will also be payouts for the first four overall in each of the two matches, plus good prize money right down to £100 for sixth place in the overall stakes.
The event is to be run on a points basis with weight coming into play in the event of a tie and anglers fishing on House, Top, Jenny’s, Club, Canal and Extension Pools. Entry fee is £40 person and payout amounts are based on 100 fishing, with a sell-out expected.
