Scorching hot weather and flat calm conditions, meant that fishing was going to be slow, but as the breeze picked up half way through the match, the carp decided to have a chew, and by the “all out” 50lbs was needed for a section win; but it was Jon Davies (Division 3) who took the honours with a pole and meat, mainly carp catch of 92lb-08oz which earned him £250.00 cash and a £1000.00 Browning Pole.

Second spot went to Steve Wilson (Division 3) who again caught on meat and weighed in 89lb-04oz, just one carp shy of the winner, the third spot went to Graham Rhodes (Division 1), with 84lb-04oz; both anglers picked up cash and a Browning Rod.

Well over 3000lb was weighed in.
