BW Makins Wednesday Kobra Affordable Open match on Lake 2 again produced fish all round the Lake, but only anglers fishing the method feeder throughout were able to catch throughout the day.
Top weight was taken by Kobra Feeders backed Long Eaton angler John Adamson from peg B15. John fished method feeder baited with pellet towards the island to land 34 carp and a bream for 156 lb 14 oz.
On peg A20, Jaguar’s Tony Lamb had ‘line bites’ all day, and only occasionally would these develop into proper bites. Fishing method feeder with yellow boilies on the hook, Tony put 103 lb 12 oz on the scales, just enough to edge out Kobra’s Dave Rossi, who weighed in a method feeder caught 97 lb 12 oz from peg A8.
There will be (Affordable) Open matches at BW Makins on Lake 2 every Wednesday for the rest of the year, except for 12 September.
