BRETT White just missed on breaking the British carp record when he slipped the landing net under Two Tone at Mid Kent Fisheries’ Conningbrook Lake.
The mighty fished weighed in at 60lb 9oz – just seven ounces off the record in waiting (the same fish) taken by Gary Bayes last October.
Sidcup, Kent angler Brett seems to have the tricky venue taped, as he caught the water’s big common, the Long Common, in May.
The fish came from Joe’s Point, a swim which has produced Two Tone three times before, and fell for sweetcorn fished just a rod length out.
